The Sports Lawyers Association (SLA) is the American association of sports lawyers. Each year, SLA organizes a Conference in the United States bringing together several hundred participants.

Founded in the mid-70s and based in Reston, Virginia (USA), the Sports Lawyers Association (SLA) presents itself as a non-profit, international, professional organization whose common goal is the understanding, advancement and ethical practice of sports law. There are over 1 current members: practicing lawyers, law educators, law students, and other professionals with an interest in law relating to professional and amateur sports.

Annual Conferences
2021 - SLA 2.0 Innovation during a time of change
This year, the annual conference will take place from May 17 to 21, 2021 and will be virtual by video conference.
Dozens of topics will be discussed (the place of women in SLA, integrity in sports betting, athlete activism, the impact of Covid-19 in sport, athlete unionism, gambling and e-sports, sexual assault, athlete mental health,...).
