Held on March 17 2017 during its Federal Assembly, the FFF adopted its new disciplinary regulations applicable for 2017 / 2018 season. It also adopted the amendment of the medical certificate validity period.

[ Update ]

The FFF has published its new disciplinary regulations

disciplinary Regulations

Le Decree n ° 2016-1054 dated 1er of August 2016 imposed a new regulation for disciplinary applicable to all sports federations. They have until July 1 2017 to adopt a text in accordance.

The Federal Assembly of the FFF has adopted during its last General Assembly the new disciplinary regulations which will enter into force for the 2017 2018-season.

The Federation indicates which 'the main changes concern first of all the reduction of several deadlines":

    • the one for convocation passes from fifteen to seven days;
    • the one to appeal is reduced from ten to seven days;
    • those up to rule are reduced to ten week in first instance and to a maximum of four months for the entire federal procedure (procedure of appeal included);
    • the one to produce the investigation report is reduced to six weeks.

It will now be prohibited for "a league or district president to be a member of a disciplinary committee, whether at federal, regional or departmental level".

Another important provisions are that some procedural rules have been modified. As well as "the appeal is no more suspensive (unless motivated decision of the first instance body)"And it will be "now possible to send procedural documents by e-mail, summons and notification of the decision in particular".

The FFF said that the sanctions list has also been "clarified, while an officer or a factual licensee may now be sanctioned". The disciplinary scale has thus been simplified."Certain offenses have been clarified in order to better correspond to the targeted behavior and others have been introduced, such as those committed via social networks. Sanctions are now combined in a single table and certain documents submitted by victims (other than ITTs) will now be taken into account".

Finally, the fight against "acts detrimental to the values of football" has been "reaffirmed by the increase of certain benchmark sanctions, in particular for the most serious offenses against officials, against the physical integrity of people and outside matches".

The FFF states that "medical certificate attesting to the absence of contraindication to the practice of sports, necessary for obtaining the license, will now only be required once every three years"

During this period, the player will still renew his license and complete a health questionnaire attesting that all his answers are negative.

This measure will take effect on June 1er 2017.
